Jelany White named Director of WCL Sports Agency; Kawika Lyons takes control of WCL Recruiting Services.
In the wake of the recent improvements to the Whitecox & Lyons Sports Management’s overall makeup, they have announced two key positions to both the Sports Agency and Recruiting Service operations.
Jelany White, Senior Partner and Chief Marketing Officer for WCL has been officially announced as the Director of the WCL Sports Agency. He will continue the Sports Agency forward with the clients that have already been accumulated and help direct the agency in a higher direction. Dustin Simcox will remain the Agency’s top agent holding licenses to represent players in the NBA, WNBA, and FIBA. White will also still retain his position as Director of Player Development and Recruiting. White commented on his new position, “I am looking forward to the challenge of directing this agency to be the best agency out there. It will not be easy starting from where we are now and where we want to be. But we’ll get there.”
Kawika Lyons, Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for WCL has been officially announced as the Director of the newly founded WCL Recruiting Service. The service has already been cleared and certified by the NCAA and should be fully operational in October. The service aims to provide college coaches an unmatched avenue to recruit potential student athletes at the broadest and most specific levels. The service will allow coaches to recruit from high school, junior college, and four year transfer student athletes. “We feel this service has the potential to be the best recruiting tool out there. It gives coaches a whole different perspective and avenue to help their recruiting process,” Lyons said about the service. “We’re ready to get this thing launched as soon as possible!”
