Whitecox & Lyons Sports Management is proud to announce former Hawaii Pacific University Forward Kyle Allen has signed with Dustin Simcox and the WC&L Team. Allen, a 6’5 American forward originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and most recently Sacramento, California played his collegiate basketball at Yuba College and Hawaii Pacific University.
Player Highlights
Kyle was an integral part of all his high school teams whether he was in Indiana or California. During his high school career he helped lead his teams to the State Championship game three out of four years. His senior and only year at Sacramento High School he was named to the Sacramento High School All-Conference team with year averages of 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists. He then moved onto Yuba College where he spent only one year and averaged 15.5 points, 9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. During that one year he received multiple awards such as California Juco Top 100, Bay Valley Conference 1st Team, and Northern California All-State Team. All these awards resulted in the continued winning tradition at Yuba and an appearance in the California Community College Sweet 16.
Kyle then moved onto Hawaii Pacific University, a NCAA Division II institution on the island of Oahu. Allen posted a great sophomore season for the Sea Warriors where he averaged 10 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists for the season. Allen posted a season high 19 points to go along with 7 rebounds against UH-Hilo and had a season high 13 rebounds twice, once against Western Oregon and once in a different game against UH-Hilo. In 19 minutes, Allen posted 15 points, 6 rebounds on 6-10 from the field and 2-2 from three against the University of Hawaii. Against Division II National Champion Runner-Up BYU-Hawaii he put 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. In a game against Dominican University he had 12 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists. Kyle flirted with a triple-double in his best all around game against Sweet 16 participant Dixie State University where he tallied 15 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds.
Kyle’s final collegiate season was his junior year at Hawaii Pacific where he started 23 of 26 games and averaged 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. Kyle again excelled against top competition where he scored 15 points and 7 rebounds against tournament participant Seattle Pacific. Allen posted 14 points and 6 rebounds in game one and 8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in game two against Chaminade. He posted a solid double-double against Western New Mexico of 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Allen’s best game came in his final collegiate game against BYU Hawaii where he put up 24 points on 9 of 16 shooting and 9 rebounds. Kyle was named to the PacWest All-Conference Honorable Mention Team his final season.

“Kyle will create mismatches for opponents that will work to our advantage, he can dribble, pass, shoot, post up, and do things offensively you don’t normally see from a player his size.
